A business built entirely on word of mouth

Joel Edwards started JI Edwards Construction in 2010. In the years since, the company has never run an advertisement, never bought a lead and never cold-called a homeowner. Every job has come from someone who had us in their house and told a neighbour about it.

What still needs to go here

Four things, and only Joel and Erica can supply them. Each is listed in full in docs/OPEN-QUESTIONS.md.

1. Joel’s story. Two or three paragraphs — how he started, what he did before, why the business works the way it does. Personal detail helps here; this is the page where a homeowner decides whether they trust you.
2. A photograph of Joel and Brian. There are 118 photographs in the library and not one face in any of them. A phone photo on a job site is better than a studio headshot.
3. Insurance and warranty terms. Liability coverage, whether workers’ compensation is carried, and any written guarantee on labour or materials. These are legal representations about the business and cannot be drafted on your behalf or guessed at.
4. Confirmation of the founding year. Three sources disagree: 2010, “fifteen years ago”, and a 2012 copyright on the old site.

What is already confirmed

JI Edwards Construction, Inc. is registered in Pennsylvania under the Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act, licence number PA 088181. That number was recovered from the previous website and appears in the footer of every page, as Pennsylvania law requires on home-improvement advertising.

The service area currently reads Delaware County, the Main Line and Greater Philadelphia. The old site claimed five counties; the content outline narrows it to Delaware County and the Main Line. That is worth a decision rather than a guess, because a narrower area generally ranks better locally.
